I don't mind that sometimes information gets slung around haphazardly. It's one of the facts of life in the military. I know I mentioned in an earlier blog, the rumors that get started and how they can really wear on a person.
So after clearing it up, I would have thought that things would be put to rest. Not so! One of the other family members (who I've never met, by the way) is now saying that if Shawn is claiming that he didn't get leave, he must be lying to me.
Normally, I'd let her comment roll off my back, but when she starts to interject herself into mine and Shawn's relationship, it really pisses me off. And I know that if Shawn knew about it, he'd be pretty peeved as well.
Just to clarify: I talked to Shawn two days ago and he said that as far as he's been told, he is not getting leave. Whether or not that changes in the future remains to be seen, but for now we are operating on the assumption that we will not be one of the lucky ones.

Gotta love the military wife/gf gossip circuit...NOT!!! I was NOT sorry to kiss that goodbye. On the other hand the ones who dont get involved in the drama are some of the best friends I've ever had. Take it with a grain of salt darlin and if you need me call me (no matter where you are, no matter how far...dont worry baby...Just call my name I'll be there in a hurry, you dont have to worry---sorry song got stuck in my head there lol)
